W dniach 18-19 lutego 2012 r. odbędzie się XXV jubileuszowa edycja Biegu Jaćwingów.
Poraz pierwszy podczas Biegu Jaćwingów zostaną rozegrane zawody w skijöringu. Pomysł pojawił się dzięki Alicji Krasce prowadzącej hodowlę psów Lupusek, która jest współorganizatorką największej imprezy narciarstwa biegowego na Warmii i Mazurach. Zawodnicy skijöringu wyruszą na trasę drugiego dnia zawodów o 13.15.

General information:
Requirements to the participants
During registration should be provided:
- passport or other valid personal ID,
- valid insurance policy,
- team members list, signed by the team leader;
During the vet check valid pet passport with vaccination records should be provided.
Before the race bikes / scooters / rigs should be presented for technical inspection.
Additional requirements to the equipment during night race.
- Canicross sportsmens should use headlamp;
- Bikejoring / scooter / rig sportsmens – should use headlamp and/or bike lights and red rear light or
red ligh reflective element should be attached to rear part of the bike / scooter / rig.
Light reflective elements on clothes and dog harnesses are recommended.
Time span when the lights obligatory should be used will be declared by race judge before the race.
During the time of obligatory use headlamps or bike lights 30 sec penalty will be fined to the sportsmen
for riding/running with headlamp or bike light off.
Right after heat finish sportsmen should provide team dogs for vet check at the special marked place
near finish line. Othervise result of the heat will be rejected.

Race conducted under international sled dog federation-IFSS regulations and Baltic Cup race rules.
Participants
All athletes from Lithuania and abroad, as well as dilettantes, women and children, are able to participate in the race. All participants must be familiar with the valid race rules. Participants can register in two classes. All participants are required to wear helmets for their own safety, as well as have harness for dogs and other relevant equipment. Everyone must have a valid vaccine certificate. The minimal dog age is 12 months.
Classification:
DR6 - 6 dog wheeled cart;
DR4 - 4 dog wheeled cart;
DS2 – 2 dog scooter;
BJW - women/ bikejoring;
BJM - men/ bikejoring;
DCW - women / canicross;
DCM - men / canicross;
DCC – children / canicross
Distance according to the classes:
7300 - DR6 class
5800 - DR4, BJM and BJW
4600 - DS2, CCM and CCW
Safety and the Responsibilities of the Participants
All participants are responsible for themselves, eg. health, during the championship. Also they are responsible for the actions of their dogs during the race. Helmets are required when on track. Any external help while on race track is strictly forbidden, except the start and finish zones.
Participants have to finish the entire race track on both days of the championship. The organizers have the right to disqualify participants who do not meet the requirements.
